I have always owned shelter/rescue doggies and they have been the best! Over the years, I have lost several best-friends-in-the-world to old age and it is always heartwrenching. I realized that they all had been angels in my life and decided to start doing memorial portraits of them as the angels that they are. I don't have lotz-o-bucks to give away but I do have time! Thus, the portrait donations. My heart just goes out to those that rescue and protect those innocent babes who were abused, injured, or abandoned and give them another shot at life with a loving family. I am just so awed by the folks that do this work and want to help in any way I can!<br /><br />I know that there are a lot of rescue stories (heck, Katrina alone has hundreds!) and other stories of how our pets have been so wonderful in our lives!
